Cassandra Wolanin, M.S.N., A.C.N.P.-B.C.
Helpful and compassionate, Cassandra feels it is a privilege to care for trauma and acute care surgery service patients. She loves working in a hospital setting, helping and interacting with patients and their families, performing bedside procedures and conducting nursing education.
Education & Certification
Cassandra studied nursing at Michigan State University. After completing her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, she began working the Metro Detroit area as an inpatient nurse in the hematology, oncology and hospice departments for many years, before pursuing graduate school. She attended Wayne State University as 1 of 15 students who received grants toward a Masters of Science in Nursing, as an Adult Acute & Critical Care Nurse Practitioner with a minor in Nursing Education. She has been board-certified since 2011. After graduate school, she worked in surgical intensive care units before moving to Oregon, and began working at PeaceHealth at RiverBend in 2013.
Cassandra is a native Oregonian, but resided in Michigan most of her life. Her love for the Pacific Northwest brought her and her family back to the region. When she’s not working, she spends time with her husband and two kids hiking or playing outside. She also loves to read, paint, garden and be involved in church activities.
