Breast Cancer
Breast cancer is a scary diagnosis, but we will be with you every step of the way. Our goal is to reach out to you even before your first office visit to begin to answer questions and guide you through the process. During your first visit in our office, you will be given copies of your imaging and pathology and the provider will go over in detail with you what your individual next steps will be.
Our surgeons participate in multiple local and national quality initiatives including the Mastery of Breast Surgery Registry through the American Society of Breast Surgery. We also collaborate with local radiologists, pathologists, medical and radiation oncologists, as well as plastic surgeons in Breast Tumor Board where your individual case is discussed in a multidisciplinary fashion. Providers in this community are committed to a team approach to your care and are members of Oregon Cancer Alliance.
We strive to provide you will as many resources as possible to make the journey a bit easier. There are a variety of wonderful companies and organizations specifically dedicated to cancer patients in our community. These include:
Pacific Integrative Oncology
Remember the Moon
Positive Community Kitchen
YMCA
Oregon Cancer Foundation offers counseling, financial support, and other services for members of Lane County
There are a variety of Physical Therapies who specifically work with breast patients to prevent and treat lymphedema (swelling of breast and/or arm). We can refer you to one in your local area from Eugene/Springfield, Albany, Corvallis, Florence, Coos Bay, Roseburg, or Grants Pass.
